Simple Data acquisition with SIP+ Data

Posted on: November 14th, 2018 by Tom No Comments

Data acquisition has been made simple with our new multi-protocol SIP+ Data Acquisition hardware. The hardware extracts data from Building Management Systems for analysis by third parties. This analysis can then pinpoint areas and support strategies for reducing energy consumption and lowering running costs of a building or estate.

The innovative SIP+ Data Acquisition product gathers high volumes of real-time data from a wide variety of plant, sensors, meters and systems such as gas, electricity, temperature, biomass, humidity, power usage meters etc at regular intervals. Reports can then be generated and sent via e-mail, FTP, securely by SFTP, FTPS or queried directly via MySQL.

SIP+ Data is a flexible and cost-effective solution as it has been designed for receiving and transmitting data via multiple protocols such as Modbus, M-Bus, BACnet and Trend. Furthermore the building data recorded by this hardware can be used by any third-party device, such as a data analytics provider.

Commissioning of the device is via our new SIP Tool which has been specially developed to make the commissioning as easy and efficient as possible. This tool can be downloaded for free from our SIP Integrator support website.

Smart Buildings 2018

Posted on: November 13th, 2018 by Tom No Comments

This years Smart Buildings Show was a fantastic event for Synapsys across the two days at the Barbican in London.

Our stand showcased our latest SIP+ hardware solutions which now include our own BACnet Integration Controller (BIC) as standard. We also displayed SIP+ Data our latest data acquisition products, as well as updates to new tools for easy commissioning.

As well as new hardware we also had new software solutions being demonstrated. These software solutions included updates to our popular SIP billing 2 platform and the launch of our latest product, New SIP Insight Energy Building Information Software (EBIS).

Over the two days we also provided two presentations, the first a CPD-accredited presentation titled ‘Guide to the role of Energy Management Systems’ and the second presentation; ‘Smart Buildings in the Future – Yes; making existing buildings smarter – Yes please!’. If you missed these and want to now more about them please email us for details.

Next’s years Smart Buildings Show takes place at Olympia and we are already getting excited about it.

If you would like to know more about our latest products, presentations, or just didn’t get a chance to see us at the show, please drop us an e-mail with your questions and we will get back to you.

SIP+ now available with our NEW BACnet Integration Controller (BIC)

Posted on: November 12th, 2018 by Tom No Comments

Synapsys are pleased to announce a major BACnet driver enhancement available for all of its SIP+ hardware options with our new BACnet Integration Controller (BIC) technology, which makes true integration of third party devices into BACnet even simpler.

Our SIP+ hardware is an easy to use, out of the box platform, capable of connecting multiple third party drivers to each other within the same truly multi-protocol platform. Flexibility is integral to achieving smart buildings and the addition of the BIC driver to SIP+ greatly simplifies BACnet integration by ensuring each integrated device appears as a separate BACnet controller.

The SIP+ has the capability to collect data from multiple different sources found in today’s building environment and simultaneously serves it to different platforms.  This makes it the most flexible solution on the market today, with cost savings over other implementations, and the web page based configuration does not tie buildings down to using only one provider, giving building owners future proof solutions, all with NO ongoing licence fees.
