Our newly launched SIPslice DALI Combined Power Supply and Converter have been developed to provide a simple and efficient way of interfacing DALI lighting loops to a lighting controller.

Designed for receiving and transmitting data via the DALI network to individual or groups of luminares, enabling them to switch on or off and or dim them, according to the DALI protocol.

SIPslice DALI Combined Power Supply and Converter provides a maximum 200mA supply for DALI communications over a RS232 or RS485 connection per 300m of DALI network, from a lighting controller.

10-20% energy savings identified for Village Hotels

Our data acquisition product SIPd, has been part of a project to reduce energy and improve comfort levels in a large chain of 28 contemporary hotels across the UK. Working closely with Carbon Credentials, significant energy savings of 10%-20% have been identified and payback on the system predicted to be within a year for the Village Hotel Club chain of hotels.

“Village Hotel Club, a large chain of 28 contemporary hotels across the UK, wanted to reduce their energy costs as well as improve overall comfort for their customers. They embarked on a project with Carbon Credentials; a partner of the hotel group who optimise energy and carbon performance. Carbon Credentials then contracted Synapsys Solutions to supply the hardware for installation in the Village hotels”.

“The quest to unlock further energy savings continues for all businesses. Therefore, it is vital to have the correct tools in place to make sure buildings are run and maintained in the most efficient manner. Carbon Credentials asked Synapsys to conduct a site visit at the Village Hotel in Maidstone to determine which one of their devices would be most appropriate for this project. Working with the maintenance System Integrators, Synapsys implemented the SIPd device at the test site in Maidstone”.
