ESTA 2016 a great day out

Posted on: February 26th, 2016 by Tom No Comments

The Ricoh arena was the setting for another great ESTA annual aM&T conference. We had a great day speaking with a lot of people about our solutions for energy monitoring, billing, data acquisition and what can be done to help them with projects they are working on. It was also the first time our brand new stand broke cover as well as us giving a few previews on some new exciting products we are launching this year.

In addition our own Matt Gardner spoke at the Energy Clinic at this year’s event. He focused on data acquisition and what to keep in mind when designing a metering and monitoring system. It’s was one of many opportunities at the event to keep up to date with the latest thinking on energy efficiency, in a very useful and highly targeted day.

Synapsys OEM Heatstar installs its first project

Posted on: February 24th, 2016 by Tom No Comments

Heatstar, the latest Synapsys OEM, has completed its first installation of a swimming pool heat pump integrated with an air conditioning unit for an ingenious dual-purpose room.

Synapsys worked with Heatstar to create the software, using a Trend IQ4E to efficiently control the EC unit. When the pool floor is in the lowered position, the unit controls the temperature and humidity of the whole area at optimum levels, but once the pool is emptied and the floor is raised, the room becomes a function room or dance hall.
